Inside ETV - Vanessa Ortiz

Hi hello hola! I’m back again. This is almost the end of my fourth week here at ETV.  Throughout this week I continued producing my little video series called “Inside ETV.” I enjoy making these videos because I get to be in contact with a lot of people inside ETV and know more about the job they perform.  I’m getting more confidence with the camera and improving my interviewing skills.  The videos are being posted on the SCETV Facebook page if you didn’t know it already, so go and check them out.

Besides working on the videos, I also had the opportunity to go on another shoot with Marina (Producer for Carolina Money) and Veronica (ETV Endowment intern.) This time we went to interview the owners of a Belgian food truck that sell waffles around Columbia (they not only have sweet waffles, but they have the best salty waffles ever- It’s a must to try them.) Anyways, we went to the kitchen where they prepare everything and after we follow them around the city to the place they had to deliver their waffles that day. It was a really fun and exciting experience as we also used a GoPro attached to their car to get some cool shots. I helped Marina with another angle during the interview and I also got some B-roll for the video.  It was so interesting to know more about their lives and how the food truck industry is starting to grow in Columbia.

It’s been an interesting week and I can’t believe my first month here at ETV has already passed. It’s almost summer and let me tell you, I didn’t know that Columbia could get that hot and humid as it has been the last couple of days. Well…That’s all for now. J

See you next time!
All the love. xx
