Shooting, Interviewing, Editing - Vanessa Ortiz

Hellooo! I’m back again with another blog. My fifth week as an ETV Endowment intern is about to end. I can’t believe I just reached the half point of my internship.

This week I pretty much worked on my videos coming up for my “Inside ETV” series. This time I’ve been working with the radio department since I will be doing a video about Walter Edgar’s Journal. Dr. Edgar talks about South Carolina history and culture and I had the pleasure to meet his producer who told me more about one of the most popular radio shows inside ETV Radio. Walter Edgar's Journal is transmitted every Friday at noon.

I also had the opportunity to get inside one of the teacher trainings offered here at ETV to get some footage for another of my videos.  These teacher trainings are usually held inside the Idea Lab. You will be seeing more about this room in one of my next videos, so hold tight!

This week has been a very busy week inside the content department due to the events last week in Charleston. ETV is covering the latest news and press conferences live and it’s very interesting to see how everybody is working to put together the best live stream possible. I have never imagined how many things needed to be done before you can actually broadcast something live.

During these five weeks I’ve been involved in a lot of different projects, which I really like because I’m having the opportunity to experience with everything. Time is going by so fast and I’m looking forward to start the next five weeks of my internship.

Quote of the Day:
“Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it’s about learning to dance in the rain”

See you next time!
All the love. xx
Vanessa
